The current open-source build is a local, single-user prototype. One operator can coordinate several agents, but multi-human access control and federation across separate Squad workspaces are not included today.

Squad uses the installed Autohand CLI for live chat, agent runs, and Terminal execution. Each specialist has a separate CLI profile with configurable skills, tools, model, memory, projects, and permissions.

Yes. Squad supports approval-gated GitHub and remote-write workflows. Auto-merge, merge authority, and destructive Git operations remain blocked at the highest autonomy level.

The current build saves automation definitions, but it does not include a background scheduler or inbound webhook worker. Run an automation manually with Run now or connect an external runner.
